Satz von Weierstraß

Sagt aus, dass wenn MM eine Teilmenge eines metrischen Raums ist und MM kompakt ist, dann hat f:MRf:M \rightarrow \mathbb{R} (stetig) ein Maximum und ein Minimum in MM .

f(xmax)=max{f(x):xM}f(x_{max})=max\{f(x):x\in M\} f(xmin)=min{f(x):xM}f(x_{min})=min\{f(x):x\in M\}

Allerdings sagt dieser Satz nur aus, dass es dieses Maximum und Minimum gibt. Er sagt nichts darüber wie man diese ausrechnet.
